With Christmas out the way, it’s time to get focused for the new year ahead!
The New Year is a powerful time to set strong intentions about what we truly want and who we want to be. Just contemplating these things can begin to bring about big shifts in our life.
The recent winter solstice marked the midpoint of winter and brings us out of the darkness and back into lighter, brighter evenings signaling new beginnings and a new cycle – the perfect time for manifesting!
These midwinter days provide us with the opportunity to get still and present with our dreams and aspirations so we can begin manifesting them into reality.
Like the small bulbs and seedlings beginning to take form underground, we can begin to acknowledge our own unmanifested desires and sprinkle some magic onto them so that they will blossom into new life. This is the magic of winter. There may not be much going on above ground but there are the stirrings of new life underground!
We already know that whatever we focus on, expands; law of attraction teaches us that like attracts like, so when we can go beyond simply dreaming our dreams to consciously and deliberately speaking, writing and visualizing ourselves actively receiving them, we send out powerful messages into the Universe and it begins responding to us in miraculous ways.

- A belief that you can do, be and have anything you desire
Reflecting on 2018 with gratitude
With every year passing, we experience so much! But we forget. We forget the mountains we have moved. So before we begin focusing on what mountains to move next, acknowledge everything you have done this year, people that you have helped, people that have helped you, what you’ve achieved, how you’ve grown. Reflect on all that YOU have created and how you’ve healed and grown from every experience.
Also, reflect on what you would choose to do differently. The past year may not have all been sunshine and roses, but these ‘challenges’ teach us so much about ourselves, where our triggers and patterns are, and how we can use these experiences to learn for next time.
Reflecting in this way is a powerful tool that can bring about many insights and ‘aha’ moments. It can help us acknowledge how we are guided by our experiences, the good and the bad.
In your journal, reflect back through the months, in gratitude of ALL that you have experienced and answer the below questions with an open, loving heart.
Questions to contemplate:
- How did I make myself proud this year?
- What could I have done better this year?
- What challenges did I learn and grow from this year?
- What am I grateful for this year?
- How can I make 2019 even better than 2018?
Remember, you are exactly where you need to be and that there is so much awesomeness coming your way! Celebrate your accomplishments, learn and grow from your mistakes and know that everything (including you) is absolutely perfect. Remember how amazing you are and know that we are all learning and doing the best we can on this journey called Life.
It’s a common understanding that in order to see where we are going, we need to acknowledge where we’ve been, so reflecting on the past year and taking a moment to answer the above questions can really help us get clearer on the path we are creating and moving towards.
Repeat this mantra to yourself now and every day from now on:
‘I love and accept myself exactly as I am and I am so excited for what is coming.’
Repeat it until you really believe it!
Making room for the new
A great way to make space for the new is to get rid of the old! So to create the space to manifest all you desire in 2019, make a list of everything that is no longer serving you. On a separate piece of paper, make a list of everything you want to leave behind in 2019; your judgments, patterns, limiting beliefs, unkind words, unhealthy situations or relationships. Get it all down on paper. Let’s move into a new year with none of last year’s baggage!
Read over your list and repeat this affirmation;
‘Thank you for all that you have taught me about who I am and what I am now wanting. Thank you for making me the person I am today. I now choose to let you go.’
Now rip up the list and burn it!
This burning ritual has been used for thousands of years and is a powerful tool for processing old stagnated stuff that we’ve been holding onto for way too long and makes room for what we are truly wanting.
Manifesting the 2019 of your dreams

Manifestation is all about asking for what we want, understanding that there is a gestation period for what we want to come into fruition, and then receiving all that we have asked for. Many of us get frustrated when what we are asking for hasn’t come yet, but we must remember that progress is not linear and that sometimes we need to be taken on some pretty interesting paths to get to where we want to be. And remember, we never get it all done! We’re always evolving, moving forward, launching new desires and creating new dreams. It’s all about enjoying the process as it unfolds.
What makes your heart sing?
Let’s get specific!
First of all, think of everything you’d like to feel in 2019 (joy, romance, abundance, fun, excitement etc.) Spend a moment really sitting with these emotions. Remember, the best tool for manifesting is feeling the emotion of what you’re wanting before it’s manifested. Getting happy first is the foundation for receiving all that you’re asking for. Not always easy to do we know, but as we mentioned before – like attracts like. Your mood is a precursor to what is coming. Actually, your mood is the pre-manifestation! So how do you know what’s coming? By how you feel right now! So the happier you are the more amazing things are on their way to you!
Another perceptive technique is to imagine that what you are asking for is already happening – that what you want is here, already manifested and something you can experience RIGHT NOW. Energy attracts like energy! It is Law!
Now repeat this affirmation:

So now you’ve created the right energetic space, let’s get manifesting the 2019 of your dreams!
Following your list of how you’re wanting to feel in 2019, write a list of everything you are wanting to call in. Be specific and don’t leave anything out. Is it the love of your life, your dream job, friendship, a pile of money, your business growing and succeeding, a new home, a healthy body? Visualize clearly what you are wanting and sit for a moment imagining living the reality of your dreams and how it feels to live that reality.
For each dream you write down, create a statement of gratitude for it already happening.
‘I am overflowing with gratitude for all the beautiful friendships I have made. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful tribe of people who love, support and encourage me.’
Say it outloud or write in your journal 10 times. This repetition allows your heart and mind to actually believe what you’re writing/saying.
Try not to focus on all your dreams at the same time. Spend a few days focusing on each one, which will make this process even more powerful.
Keep a visual reminder of your goals either by post-it notes around your house or a vision board with cut out images that represent your dreams. Looking at them regularly will keep you excited, grateful, and inspired!
Now that you’ve announced to yourself and the world what it is you’re wanting, know that it is done! And all you need to do now is RELAX!
Don’t get caught up in the how, when, where details of your dream coming true and trust that everything is right on schedule!

Keep focusing on what you want with gratitude and not how it will happen. Just know that your dreams are on their way and that the timing isn’t up to you.
