Why most people who use toothpaste have some type of gum disease

The vast majority of people choose toothpaste as their number 1 oral care product, yet have some form of gum disease! That tells us mass-market toothpaste doesn’t support or understand the nature of our gums and the problems associated with them.

We know we like to throw around this fact, but it’s because we really want it to sink in: over 80% of Americans suffer from gum disease! That’s huge!

And the reason why we want to point this out yet again is because with so many people suffering from some form of gum disease, it’s obvious that what people are brushing their teeth with just isn’t working. In fact, it’s likely that what they are using is actually contributing to their gum disease.

We believe that if people trusted their body’s ability to self-heal and used products aligned with nature, they would see a huge difference in their oral (and overall) health.

Toxic ingredients act as a barrier to natural healing

As we mention in our article Toxic Ingredients in Your toothpaste, toothpaste is full of harmful ingredients that put a barrier up to natural healing. And not only that, but some of the ingredients are so toxic that they can have an extremely detrimental effect on your body.

Fluoride, for example, is so toxic that warning labels are required by the FDA on all fluoride dental products alerting people to “get medical help or contact a Poison Center” if too much is ingested.

Triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, artificial colors and sweeteners, propylene glycol, carrageenan, and glycerin are all other ingredients to watch out for, which may be contributing to your gum disease.

Good-Gums all-natural tooth and gum formula is the only oral care product that’s 100% natural and specifically designed to care for not just your teeth, but for your gums and overall well-being too! More about this magical formula later.

As Isabelle Dunkeson (creator of Good-Gums) passionately states, “you gotta give up the paste if you want to cure your tooth and gum problems”. We have to trust in our body and its natural healing processes if we are going to have any hope of curing our gum problems.

And there are thousands of people who can testify to rectifying their gum problems once they quit using toothpaste and switch to a natural tooth powder.
